Reif Estate Winery, Niagara-on-the-Lake

The Reif Estate Winery a family-owned winery, located on the picturesque Niagara Parkway along the Niagara River, first opened its doors in 1983. The family tradition of wine-making actually began hundreds of years ago in the town of Neustadt in the Rhine River Valley. In 1977 Ewald Reif came here from Germany purchased a plot of land along the Niagara River and planted a vineyard. Some of the wines produced today at the winery include white wines like Chardonnay, Riesling, vidal, Pinot Grigio and more. Reds include Shiraz, Merlot, pinot noir and several others. They also produce a variety of ice wines including Cabernet Franc, Riesling, Gewurztraminer and Vidal. Open hours change seasonally.
