Daidaiya, Osaka-shi

This restaurant is certainly Japanese, though contemporary, and by most standards top of the line! The interior, lit by warm and mood enhancing lighting, uses enormous, close-up photography of flowers, and incorporates the simple lines and angles of more traditional Japanese aesthetics into its design. The menu includes such traditional items as sushi and seafood dishes as well as more unusual originals.
