I loved the waterview room. The observation deck overlooking Elliott Bay was a great bonus. The staff were professional and helpful. The room was comfortable and elegant. \n \nThe rooms were quiet too, which is a plus being right downtown practically on top of Pike Place Market. Walking distance to, well almost everywhere in Seattle. But why leave the room with a view like that?
05 Jun 2005 | A Yahoo! UserLovely little boutique hotel located on First Avenue, just a half block above The Pike Place Market. You'll get first class service but not the full value of the beautiful view unless you've paid for one of the pricier rooms overlooking Puget Sound. We didn't, and ended up with a room on the second floor overlooking First Avenue...not one of the nicest venues of the city and a bit loud and highly neon after dark. Still the rooms are comfortable, well furnished and clean. Breakfast overlooking the sound is just down the street at "The PP Market" and it is awesome. A few blocks' stroll over to the shopping areas of downtown (Nordstrom, Macy's-The Bon, Banana Republic, The Gap and the like). Not the greatest area after dark, so a taxi might be suggested unless you choose one of the really nice restaurants located nearby.
