More and Maps
The Latham is located in the Rittenhouse Square area that remains in the upper echelon of Philadelphia residential districts. Once an apartment building for the Philadelphia elite of the early 20th century, this national historic site is in the style of the Roaring 20s, with exquisite wood paneling and marble in the lobby. The furnishings of the 138 rooms and suites are accentuated by marble bathrooms, complimentary terrycloth robes and modern communication facilities. Concierges and valets pamper their guests with shoe shines and same-day laundry service.

We booked two nights at the Latham, and it was entirely wonderful. The location is ideal; if you take the Septa train into town, it's only a few blocks from the Suburban Street Station. The neighborhood is ideal, with plenty of great shopping, restaurants, and landmarks within easy walking distance (Little Pete's classic diner was our mainstay, just two blocks south). Our room was large and immaculate, with top quality amenities and lovely furnishings. It was the perfect romantic getaway!
