Conveniently located just two blocks from the San Jose Convention Center and within walking distance of San Jose State University, this affordable hotel is ideal for convention attendees or people in town on university business. Several outstanding restaurants and most San Jose cultural activities are also nearby, including the San Jose Museum of Art, the Center for Performing Arts and the Tech Museum of Innovation. The rooms are comfortable and pleasant but somewhat spartan. There is nothing fancy here.

Hidden Gem

I have stayed several times. The first time I happened to stumble upon it when driving down 2nd street. The staff and service was great. I justrecently had a party in there metting facility and the food and room was great. Good Job!!

The Ramada is definitely one of San Jose's hidden gem Hotel. I have had the pleasure of staying there on more than a couple of occasions and found the Staff, the continental breakfast and the accomodations to be comparable to the Major name hotels in the area. My rates were negotiable and much lower than I expected. I found it was easier to get a better rate by calling the hotel direct. The work out room is modest but has the neccessary workout equipment I needed and the pool not heated was still a haven from the heat. I was able to walk to Original Joe's in about 10 minutes, get my fast food fix at McDonald's and shot some pool a few paces away from the Hotel entance on 1st St. Even with all the Nightclubs within walking distance I found myself feeling safe and secure here.
