The minute you climb the red carpeted steps to the imposing hotel entrance you know you are in for some first class treatment. This large, independently owned hotel is professionally run and offers comfortable accommodation at a reasonable price. Situated on the famous Hoe, it is within easy walking distance of the Barbican, the city centre and Brittany Ferries. All rooms have en-suite accommodation and are very well appointed, including the provision of satellite television channels. Both the Jesters Restaurant and the popular Armada Bar are unusual. The restaurant, which has superb cuisine including fresh fish, has a medieval theme, while the bar is circular in shape. It all adds up to an excellent hotel.
