This resort is just minutes away from downtown and offers comfortable rooms with a view of Banderas Bay just outside of your window. Sit on your private terrace and enjoy your view, or go exploring. Because of the lack of beach here, the hotel has recently finished building its own artificial reef. Although this addition has improved its appeal, the beach is something that still eludes this resort. Luckily, visitors will have plenty to do without having a beach to lounge around. Check into the many recreational activities available onsite including biking, golfing and playing tennis.

Great time at the Melia Puerto Vallarta

My family went to the Melia 4/6/05 to 4/13/05.I was concerned when I read some of the reviews about the beach and the food.The beach was very small and rocky but to make up for that, the pool was very nice.It was one of the biggest pools I've seen and the Melia made sure there was plenty of activites for everyone to do.The food at the restaurants was very good.The buffet wasn't that great but I usually don't find many buffets even in the US that are that great.The staff at the hotel were wonderful.I was a little concerned about cleanliness before I got there because I am deathly afraid of bugs.I was pleasantly suprised at how clean everything was. the rooms, restaurant and even the grounds.I didn't see one insect my whole vacation.It was well worth it and I would recommend it highly.
