We had a great time here last year and couldn't wait to go back. The staff were all friendly the decor in the bedrooms had been updated and rather trendy but the breakfasts were a let down. On the one day that the full menu was available it was lovely but paying £135 a day to be sidelined for conference customers wasn't on and it spoiled our stay. We were upgraded when I complained but on my return I checked with friends that I'd recommended the hotel to and they had never had the full breakfast menu available during their stay. This has the potential for a great hotel but is being let down by not rating independent travellers as important prefering the commercial and corporate trade.
