The Mount Royale is just minutes away from York's famous racecourse and just a short walk from the city centre with all its many tourist attractions and shops. This is a well cared for and all round first class hotel which offers a little bit more than just the usual facilities. Some rooms even have individual features such as the garden rooms with their orange and lemon trees and semi-tropical plants, which are rather lovely and unusual to say the least.

GO THERE EVERY YEAR

This hotel is fabulous! I have never entered such a beautiful hotel in my life, my husband and I went for our aniversary and had a fantastic time. The rooms were excellent and very clean. The breakfast was to DIE for!!!!! Especially the Eggs Benedict! Ignore all the people out who think this hotel is not worth going to...completely wrong! Wil be going back at every oppertunity. The staff are so helpful and very kind.

dont go when the races are on.busy loud ,drunken bums,fighting,car parking was a nightmare!!!! wont be going again.

FANTASTIC

Such a great atmosphere, great rooms, individual style and lovely gardens and warm pool. would most definitaly stay again. ooh and very comfy bed!
