In 1997, $29 million went into the renovation of this 11-story building, transforming a Pacific Northwest Bell switching facility into a luxurious boutique-style hotel. The 189 rooms, including 45 suites, have the feel of a fine English bed-and-breakfast. Despite the hotel's romantic feel, business travelers will also feel right at home because every room has a fax machine, two data ports and plenty of desk space. Hotel Monaco is Fabulous!

We stayed in the Mediterranean Suite of the hotel and loved it! The only thing that could be better is a good view out of the window instead of the view of a building wall. But that's a trivial thing compared to the warmth and spaciousness of the room. The complementary wine tasting was relaxing and wonderful. The service was great - not too stifling yet not too unavailable. \n \nEven though we didn't bring any pets with us we loved the fact that the hotel is pet friendly. \n \nWe would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone who wanted to stay in Seattle!
