More and Maps

This hotel has been described as having "palatial facilities and luxurious rooms in a high rise block overlooking the city." It is located next to the Ping River, a couple of kilometres south of town. However, it is within easy reach of the Night Bazaar, the city's famous shopping area, as well as the old city with its historic monuments. The hotel features several top-class restaurants, as well as a well-equipped business center and a discotheque. As one might expect, the rooms offer great views of the river and the city.

Never again

Definitely the worst 5 star hotel where I ever stayed. Design and facilities all very dated. Cleanliness of the rooms leaves much to be desired. Cockroaches on breakfast table, though interesting for our children, should not be in 5 star hotels. No in-room internet connection. Renovation on same floor ongoing during our stay. Pool very small and simple. Gym very aged. Whole hotel has a shabby 1970s look.

Excellent

Spend the extra 30 bucks and get a suite,I did and it was worth it, whoever wrote the previous review about the smell is out of date - the hotel is nice, clean and the food is excellent. The breakfast buffet was the best one I had in Thailand, albeit that someone needs to explain the meaning of the words 'sausage' and 'ham' to all hoteliers here.

This may have been a good deal when the hotel opened, but it has gone completely downhill. I cannot even describe the odors in our room and hallway. Many hotels in Chiang Mai offer the same or better accomodations for a much better price.
