THE GREATEST OF THE WORLD'S TALLEST BUILDINGS. VIEWS OF NEW YORK CITY FROM THE 86TH FLOOR CAN CREATE IN ONE A SURREAL AND DETACHED FEELING. A MOMENTOUS SENSE OF FULFILMENT IS DERIVED FROM EXPERIENCING THIS ACCENT; UNLESS THE PERSON IN QUESTION SUFFERS FROM A FEAR OF HEIGHTS.

(Report Problem)Come early (so you avoid queues) and enjoy one of the best attractions in the city of New York. More than impressive. If you like it, go and check the light coding they have, one per night !

(Report Problem)I visited with my husband and 4 children in May. We got in quite qucikly which was a relief. Once inside I have never met so many people who dislike their job so much. No smile, just very very rude people. My kids were tired from walking and sat on the floor they got shouted at and so did I. O yes and the cheesy photo you are supposed to pose for. My husband is from Yorkshire, and if you know yorkshire people they don't like to be messed about he wound't pose, very very cheesy and expensive. We were crammed in the lifts like sardines. The view was brilliant once we got to the top. Shop at the top is overly expensive. I would visit again just for the view.

(Report Problem)The queue can be long,i waited about an hour which is apparently quite good.best to get there for when it opens (9:00)as queue gets longer as the day goes on.Worth the wait however as the views are amazing and visability can be up to 80 miles on a clear day.if you do a helicopter trip though views are obviously similiar and can take away the wow factor of the empire state

(Report Problem)I thought it was terrible. My Nan could build a better, taller building. Pathetic. I hate New York! Absolute Rubbish. i fely sick when I got to the top! It's too high. They should take a few stories off it.

(Report Problem)Want to be treated like one of a vast herd of dirty cattle? Visit the Empire State Building. This was the most negative part of an otherwise fabulous New York vacation and I won't be back. The line for the Empire State Building is deceptively long. We waited for more than an hour in lines that wound through corridors (with lots of exposed wires, as the site is being remodeled) and continued on several floors until we finally reached the top of the building. The worst part of the experience though, was the employees. These people must hate their jobs, because each one was rude or downright mean. We were crammed into packed elevators and told off by irate elevator staff who thought we weren't shoved in tightly enough. We were forced to pose for a cheesy group picture we didn't want (the employee told us we didn't have a choice?!), we were herded through the lines and glared at repeatedly by a number of surly employees. We were shouted at twice in two different locations when my exhausted daughters tried to find a place to sit for a moment. The second time, one of my daughters stood up and then tried to squat- The guard came back and shouted "No stooping either!" I don't think we've ever been treated so poorly anywhere. It was a horrible welcome to an otherwise great city and the beautiful view was not worth being treated like dirt.

(Report Problem)I first went up in the Empire State Building on a tour group. The wait wasn't long, and it was December 11, near midnight, just before they closed for the evening. We had ice and a light snow. It was cold, but beautiful from the top. Unfortunately, visibility wasn't as far as I would have liked, but the experience was awesome. I recommend it for everyone's first visit to this wonderful city.

(Report Problem)The Empire State Building is pretty neat once you get to the top. However, it might not be worth the wait. And trust me, the wait is long! It is especially not worth it if it is a cloudy day, you cannot see anything! But you do get some really neat pictures and you get a 360 degree view of the city. But, once again the wait seems forever.
