Excellent in all respects

five stars

We arrived very hungry at lunch time with a bunch of other tourists. Rather than wait for thirty minutes we ate at the bar. The chowder was excellent as was my salmon and my wife's scallops and shrimp. In my opinion the test of a seafood restaurant is how well they prepare their fish, most over cook it. Legal Seafoods salmon was better prepared than what we had a couple months ago at the Culinary Institute of America in New York state. The waiter at the bar was friendly and helpful, and the food came quickly. Since there were so many customers there when we ate I was expecting the staff to be harried and the food to be pedestrian. We were very happy to find just the opposite to be true. We would go back again. Also, try the seaweed salad...an interesting experience.

Legal Rules in Logan...

five stars

On a recent trip to Boston, I finally made a great choice at Logan. I choose to have my preflight meal and beverages at Legal Seafood’s in the C Terminal. I hadn’t been to Logan in about 18 months and on my previous trips I never noticed Legal. But I have now and I know where I’m going every time I go back. Previously, I had the tough choice between Sam Adams Brewery and Cheers Logan.

The first thing that strikes you about Legal Seafood’s (Logan) is the atmosphere – the lighting is set low and gives you a nice feel when you walk in. The furniture and tables are nicely arranged and well spaced, not too crowded and the tables aren’t scattered about. The Fixtures and trim are a nice darker wood and gives you the feel of a fine restaurant, making you forget the fact you are in an airport.

The bar is well stocked with Top Shelf spirits, and the beers on tap are very good including a few local microbrews, a very large step above Bud and Sam’s you find everywhere else.

The Bar Service is excellent and the staff is very professional. Sitting at the bar, waiting for your flight has gone to the next level, the service is great. The TVs are right in front of you and the food and drinks couldn’t be better.

When ordering from the Bar, the wait staff brings your food out and offers you the extras (like freshly grated parm cheese) that you don’t expect from most restaurants, especially one in an airport.

Calling the Food excellent would be an understatement and doing Legal Seafood’s a disservice. I had the Clam Chowder (in Boston, I think there is only one kind (White)) and it was awesome. I am a fan of Clam Chowder in New England, but this was better than the average chowder.

I went on to have the Lobster Ravioli, at $22.95 it was a bit steep, but I went for it and was not disappointed – the ravioli was very good, and the chucks of Lobster in the sauce were great. I could have done without the chucks of tomato and the sauce could have been creamier, but overall, it was a great dish. I'm sure it was much better than the Crab cakes and Coconut shrimp(that I had been eyeing on the menu). The Meal was light years ahead of the standard bar fare you get at the other Logan establishments…

In all it’s a can’t miss opportunity to redefine your time waiting for your flight. Hopefully, not to many people find out though… Then I might have to wait next time I go.

Haven’t been to other Legal Seafood’s restaurants, I’ve eyed the one on the waterfront, but never made it in… If they're like this one, I’ll make a point to visit.
