Greensboro is in the middle of the state and is about 3 hours from the Blue Ridge mountains to the west with great hiking, camping, and sking and the same distance from the beach to the east. Greensboro is a small city but there is a minor leage baseball team downtown, a few museums including the site of the first sit-in of the Civil Rights movement, lots of theatre productions, and the state zoo a short drive away. There is also the Colliseum which hosts classical concerts rodeos and everything in between. The Guilford Courthouse battleground is also here, the site of a decisive Revolutionary war battle. The city its self is well kept, clean, compact, and friendly and there is large-scale development revitalizing the downtown. The one problem is that public transportation while available isn't that good. Its best to have a car if you plan on staying here.

(Report Problem)My family and I have lived in Greensboro for several years now and we love it here. Our kids were born here. Greensboro has great shopping, great restaurants, nice parks, plenty of houses of worship to choose from, friendly people, and the homes aren't over-priced. I would recommend this area to anyone looking to re-locate.

(Report Problem)Not particularly informative or easy to get detailed information. I am interested in outdoor activites (i.e. hiking, canoeing, etc.) and there is nothing that helps locate local attractions. Everything seems like an advertisement. Where are the B&Bs? Local flavor? Interesting info?
