One of the best museums in Europe! Lots of Botticelli's, Michaelangelo, Leonardo, etc. The museum is not too big so you can't burn yourself out. However, make sure to make advance reservation from the US before visiting it or suffer the consequence of waiting in a very long line.

(Report Problem)I lived in Florence in the early 1960s. In those days the Uffizi was unbelieveably cheap and easy to get into. I went there almost every day for four months. You could get right up to the paintings then. There was little or no security. No one gave a thought to anyone hurting one of the magnificent works that hung on the walls. Now that's all gone. We live in a tense and dangerous world today. That is too bad. I am glad for the experience I had back then as I will never have that experience again.
