The Prescott Hotel is very elegant...We had to take 2 elevators to the club level suite...Our room was nice but for the price we paid i think it should have been bigger but i do understand that we chose a boutique hotel and they tend to follow the french side of things...I was dissapointed in the bathroom however; the jacuzzi might look like it had fish tank air pumps meticulously installed into ur everday single bathtub...Our view was the back of a bunch of buildings...Our bed was nice with the mirrors on the wall...Overall, the building has a quaint, cozy atmosphere...

The Prescott is our first choice if we are spending any time in San Francisco. The location is central to everything and the rooms are well appointed. The service is well above what you would expect for a hotel this reasonably priced. I travel to SF for business frequently and always pick the Prescott for my stay. The staff is very attentive and well informed.

The Prescott Hotel is a wonderful place to stay in downtown SF. The location is ideal, 2 blocks from Union Square and the service is impeccable. The staff is very friendly and helpful. We stayed on the concierge floor where drinks and hor d'oerves are served in the early evening late afternoon and a wonderful continental breakfast in the morning. Our room was cozy and well furnished. You must have dinne at Wolfgang Puck's Postrio restaurant next door and enjoy your walk down the five minutes of fame staircase!

Even though it's smaller and less well-known than other luxury hotels
in the area, I found my stay at the Prescott to be one of the most
pampering, pleasant stays in any hotel, anywhere. The excellent staff was
friendly and attentive. The room service, provided by Postrio (Wolfgang
Puck's S.F. restaurant) was wonderful. The location, right off Union
Square is close to shopping, the theaters, and (some) nightlife--Red Room
and Le Colonial are both fun places to grab some pre-dinner drinks. Also
close by are North Beach and Chinatown.
The rooms are a bit tiny,
but this is S.F. after all. All in all, the Prescott is a very luxurious
experience for a relatively painless price.

This is a very nice hotel in the heart of Union Square. It is a couple of blocks from the cable car to the wharf, and a short walk to Chinatown and shopping at Union Square. The hotel is considered a botique hotel--it is very clean, high end quality everywhere, and exceptional service. I have stayed in many fine hotels in all areas of this city, and this is by far the best overall experience.
