Very nice room
This is the second time we have stayed at The Fairmont. The room was beautiful and the service was good. My only complaint was that valet parking was full and we had to park across the way and haul our luggage to the room.

Best downtown hotel in San Jose
I've stayed at this hotel several times during business trips to San Jose, mostly because of its central downtown location. Also, the rooms are large and really nice, the restaurants are good and the breakfast buffet is wonderful.

Great Place to Stay
Very nice hotel. Stayed there a couple of times, once for a New Years Party, and once recently (May 2004) both times were super. Rooms are very nice, had a standard room once and a suite the second time. The staff is very nice and helpful. The Grill restaraunt located off the lobby area is superb, great steaks, and appetizer, the bar is very nice as well. Walking distance to a lot of downtown activity, nice to stay their during Christmas in the Park, as it is right there!

great hotel in San Jose -
Very nice, fancy hotel. There is a good restaurant downstairs. The hotel is in a great location right in downtown San Jose. Can walk to lots of restaurants, and theater and opera within walking distance, as well. And the Discovery Museum! And the tech museum! Who knew so much to do in San Jose?

First in Show
The first deluxe hotel downtown San Jose got almost 15 years ago, is still tops. Visit at christmas time and see Christmas in the Park, have high tea, see chocolate town and ginger bread houses. Restuarts are very good, especially the Grill. The bar is the place to see and be seen. Very nice pool for when it gets hot. Rooms are very spacious with large bathrooms and tubs. Friendly, eager staff, waiting to help. Good business location and choice for a working trip.
