Apart from the architectural beauty and the location, this hotel is appaling badly managed. Last night I was with around 200 guests in the rear dining room for a xmas party and there was no heating whatsoever. Electric bar heaters ( from the 1940's) were brought in to heat the bar staff and I was told the staff had to have these to satisfy health & safety regulations for employment. Never mind the guests who froze.

Location is great but you definitely need a sea front room. The variety of rooms is immense, from large airy rooms to dingy cupboards. Air con is non existent, you need to open windows. Rooms are quite tired. Usually need to look at 3 rooms before you can find a decent one. Breakfast ok. Pool facilities are good & clean. Staff vary from excellent to completely unhelpful.
Great for: Nightlife, Beds, Pool
