It was cheap but not cheerful! Location was brilliant. Macy's is only half a block away. The rooms were clean but the plumbing left a lot to be desired. Our loo broke on the first night but they were v. quick to fix it. Breakfast is provided but is very basic. I don't know if I would use it again but would recommend it to anyone on a budget. After all it's just a place to sleep and wash in.

This hotel is not a well kept hotel. The rooms are extreemly small and they are run down. Not a good value for your money.

Due to it's location you'd expect to be somewhat it paradise. The place had no heater. They put a portable heater in the room which felt as if it wasnt there at all. The place was dirty. Too too small for my taste. The one on 8th Avenue is so so much better which is surprising due to it's location.

Great central location - we loved jumping out of bed straight into the heart of New York's vibrant atmosphere. Staff were friendly and helpful. Make sure you tip the poor guys who have to deal with the luggage storage and blocked toilets! They look like they deserve some recognition. Economical, realistic, and very warm. And a great view from the fire-escape.

It is better than sleeping in the street, only because the street was 10 degrees F that night!

Exactly what I expected from a centrally located small economy New York hotel. Fantastic location, tiny but very clean rooms, your choice of interior & dark or outside noisy. Newly remodled bathroom with ample linens and hot water, but no hair dryer. Breakfast adequate and service very satisfactory. Very reminiscent of smaller hotels in Paris. If I had need to be near Penn Station, I would stay there again.

We stayed at this Hotel because it had a perfect location.
My son (4
years) was not at all happy with it though. The rooms are tiny, perhaps
thats common in NY. The passageway leading to rooms was hardly 3 feet wide
making it more claustrophobic.
Service was alright. The Sofa in the
room was so bad that nobody could dare to sit on it. But after making one
request, we got an extra bed.
In short, if you want a safe and
economy place and are only going to use it for a minimal time, this is
good. Lot of attractions nearby : including Times Square (5 blocks),
Empire State Building (4 blocks), Macys (1/2 block), Hertz Rent a car
(across the road), Penn Station (across the road)
