get what you pay for!

we arrived early and requested to check in although it was noon and their normal check-in time is 3pm. being a pilot and an avid traveler, my experience with EVERY other hotel i have ever stayed at in over 60countries and countless cities around the world is that an early check-in is happily done if there are rooms available and clean. at this hotel, they will happily check you in early for a charge of 10 pounds. i then asked if we could just have them hold our luggage and we would check in later. again, i cant think of a hotel i have ever stayed at that would not hold bags at least for a few hours. the staff told me, directly and borderline rudely that they do not hold bags. while the room was clean when we arrived, it was not cleaned the next morning but rather a pile of fresh towels was left out side the door. there is no telephone in the room. the noise that they warn you about is real! there are number of pubs very close to the hotel so bring ear plugs.
