Determined to go back and spend more time.
I visited Perth about 12 years ago and I only had about half a day to explore so I really didn't have nearly enough time. I found Perth to have very friendly people and the city had a very safe feel to it. I walked alone from the North Bridge area, where I ate dinner, back to my hotel on the Esplanade after dark and never felt threatened! Try that in almost any American city of comparable size. I'm determined to go back some day and really see the Perth area.

Looking to retire there...
Perth provides a perfect combination of city and ocean living. Throw in the vineyards of the Swan River Valley and the nearby Margaret River and you have Central Calfornia without the high prices.
