history wealth and oriental spirit
A palace that's really different from typical european ones. It's too big and can be tiring, but certainly a must-see during a visit to istanbul. Make sure to visit the part with the sultan's treasures.

I really liked the clothing of the sultans, the fascinating religious relics, ceramics and jewels. The area is very pretty with trees. I didn't allow enough time to see everything and was very disappointed not to be able to get into the harem. They limit the amount of people-if you go, make sure you get your ticket right away.
