Most visitors only stay for a day or two, but if you use Cesky Krumlov as a base for touring Southern Bohemia you can easily find lots to do to fill a fortnight. Cesky Krumlov is set in some of the Czech Republic's most beautiful countryside - with the Sumava National Park only 20 minutes drive away and the Blansky Les Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty even closer. The area offers not only lots of historic towns, castles and abbeys, but also lots of opportunities for physical activities - canoeing down the Vltava river, skiing, biking and walking in the Sumava, or sailing on Lake Lipno. www.ceskykrumlovholiday.co.uk will give you more ideas.
Great for: Skiing/Snowboarding, Hiking/Camping, History/Culture, Theatre/Music, Budget Travel, Family Holidays

(Report Problem)This is a magical city that merits more than one day to see and experience. Next time I visit (and there will be a next time) I plan on staying longer. Took a day trip from Prague and it was a long day. A picture perfect "fairytale" like town. Almost feels like a movie set. Thoroughly recommend.
