(Report Problem)If you want to have a real experience on a low budget. Take the boat from Helsinki to Tallinn and expect to get surprised. You can shop duty-free stuff on the boat or do it ashore. Tallinn is an old historical city of trades that traces back to the Middle Ages and further. To walk around in the "Old Town" like in Stockholm is amazing. The narrow street and the atmosphere. One thing is negative though. People still get robbed a lot so hold on to your purse and don't put your wallet in the back pocket. You can also fly there, never done it myself, but who knows. Hotels and hostels are reasonably priced. Food is relatively good and try to look for small picturesque restaurants. You can also travel further to Pärnu and really spoil yourself as it is the spa town of Estonia. Mudbaths, massages etc. Estonia is well worth the visit.

(Report Problem)Fantastic website! You know when you put in 'tallinn hotels' on google or yahoo and all you get is lewd stag do sites...well this new site avoids all that! Its an audio based site that has reviews by real people living real experiences. For example, the hotel review features a reporter actually going to the hotel, interviewing people who are staying there and getting thier opinions on the place. ITs the same for cafes, bars, nightclubs etc! Downloadable pictures too! Hightly recommended!

(Report Problem)Just back from a long weekend there - totally fantastic (with the exception of the English stag parties). Super trendy restaurants (O, Boca, Pikk Jaag etc etc, fantastic bars, masses to see and do and all fairly cheap! Go before the masses turn it into another Prague. We stayed at Meriton Old Town - excellent locatin, basic but clean and cheap.

(Report Problem)the old town was really breathtaking- it was like a place in some fairy tale! i've never in my life seen such architecture. and they make good coffee there... my advice- stay at radisson, great view on the old town, not too expensive.
