Skiathos island ,accomodation in the Blue Horizon studios was the best

The Blue Horizon studios was really a very nice experience for my and my family,fantastic new studios with T.V,aircoditioning,full eguipped kitchen,private balkony with a fantastic view in the sea and the traditional skiathos town,also very nice snack bar that you can find anything breakfast,ice creams,drinks and homemade greek foods from ms Helena the owner of the studios ,also and fast food like snacks. The swimming pool is very clear every day,the owners very friendly and helpful, my holidays in skiathos and the accomodation in the Blue horizon was really very special. i will go back in june

we love everything and mcdonalds has gone now. we have been 4 times and can't wait to go back again.

Lovely family vacation

Beautiful green island, clean sandy beaches, nice and cheap accomodation. Great for the family (both of my children want to go again next summer), don't know much about nightlife. We stayed at a place called Zachos hotel, no complaints there, good value for money. I guess there are better places if you can afford it but it doesn't matter as you'll probably be around the island most of the time. To save costs we booked everything online ourselves and choose September which was surprisingly cheap and hot! I think we found the ticket from Yahoo travel and the room by e-mail.

Skiathos was fantastic - Booked again for next year

Skiathos was gorgeous, we stayed at the Villa Angela complex in Aselinos. Villa Angela sits in a beautiful valley near Aselinos beach. Surrounded by forest and gardens, it is the ideal place to stay if you want peace and quiet you will need a car and the owner of the apartments can arrange this for you far cheaper than booking at the airport with the same company. Villa Angela is typically Greek accomodation - simple, basic and clean. There is a restaurant and tree bar and a large swimming pool. Breakfast is included in the price of the holiday and evening meals can be provided too. For a relaxing and peaceful holiday, with excellent value for money we would highly recommend Villa Angela.

A must to visit

We went to Skiathos in August, it is the most beautiful and peaceful island we have ever seen - the bus service is an experience you must have even if it is only once!.

We go every year.

Reluctantly (in case it becomes too commercialised and ruined bu too many tourists) I highly recommend this beautiful island. Don't be put off by using the bus system on the island, it's really easy, friendly and convenient. I personally recommend staying on the Koukounaries side of the island and use the bus to travel in and out of Skiathos town. And don't panic to get off when the bus is full (which is quite regularly), locals and toursists are very helpful to each other I find. I highly recommend the Dionysos Restaurant in Skiathos town (off Papadiamantis Street).. The food and service is excellent. The only drawback to Skiathos.... the darn MacDonalds they've built in the town... spoils the whole atmosphere.

Going Back Again!

I went to Skiathos last July with my mum and we stayed at the Kolios beach apartments and it was wonderful, the swimming pool is right on the beach and the tavenas on the beach are lovely, this year we are staying in Victoria Complex in Troulos I hope it is just as nice as Kolios was last year! You should definatly go to Skiathos a wonderful island with beautiful views.

skiathos

skathos is a small green paradise with 63 beaches. skiathos has got peacfull places for relaction holidays and there are bizzy places for crazy nights the most bizzy places are skiathos town and koukounaries beach.the most peacfull areas are achladies, kanapitsa, kolios area,troulos,agia paraskevy.all this areas have got shops and there are near to the beaches.you can find also good greek tavernas,bars and very friendly people.
