(Report Problem)we have returned to sorrento (as a couple) for four years now, staying at the hotel imperial tramontano, friendly people, beautiful food, love everything about it. would definately recommend it but don't want too many people going there - don't want it spoilt.
Great for: History/Culture

(Report Problem)Probably not! Overpriced. Overpopulated. Overrated. We found this town to be very expensive and lacking in variety. All the restaurants seemed to sell the same food at the same prices, and the highly inflated tourist wine prices were, quite frankly, a disgrace.

(Report Problem)It very beautifull. It it perfect to be located there and made daily outing to know the islands (Capri, Procida) and the Amalfi coast. Shops are open till late at night. You can take the best ice creams.

(Report Problem)Sorrento is an excellent alternative to staying in Napoli - it isn't plagued by the same poverty and graffiti. The town is beautiful and offers convenient ferries to Capri, one of the most beautiful places on earth. Sorrento is linked to Naples by an inter-city train system that is farily convienient. Early spring is especially perfect here because of all the orange and lemon groves in various backyards and gardens.

(Report Problem)Sorrento is a beautiful, simple, elegant coastal town. If you don't like the usual hectic crowded cities such as Rome, Milan, etc., then Sorrento is the place for you. Stayed at the Hotel Michelangelo, and right next to the hotel is the best italian pottery shop. Would rather stay in Sorrento than Capri! Theres just something in Sorrento that gets you hooked. Def cleaner than the Jersey Shore!
