Most people in Macau cannot speak English, it's difficult to ask for help about how to go in each destination. Either signs are shown in Chinese and Portugal only, No English.
Great for: History/Culture, Nightlife
Last Visit: September 2007

(Report Problem)It is best to visit Macau during the autumn season for Western visitors, as the weather is drier and cooler. Busing might be unnecessary due to busy hours are usually round the clock, and just ask the people for help on direction or similar topic, for they are quite friendly (however, English might be a bit difficult for them, especially the older generation). Overall, I love Macau for its size and efficiency, without the "city styles" of neighbor Hong Kong or GuangZhou. Moreover, it is utterly enjoyable to have a cup of coffee in many-a coffee blend shop while experiencing a whole new place!

(Report Problem)The tower (58 storeyed) is worth the visit. Not many people know english. Boards in public transport still use Portuguese.
