The nearly one year we lived in San Miguel de Allende is the happiest, sunniest year of my adult life. I fell in love with the ex-pats at the jardin, and soon, I was one of them. The Mexican people are among the loveliest people on earth. I hope I get one more chance to go there in my life.

Maru is a good cook. She make good food. I like her tortilla soup. She works at a cool house i stayed in. Its near the Jardeen. The lady on the corner of the jardin sells prettty flowers. My sis bought beer there. She was 17. O well. I saw a dog and forgot what i named it. There was this cool dog on a street that lived next door but always wantered around. The Art Institure is good. I took a class there. I made a pinata. It was cool, but mine turned out like a pile of crap glued together. O well. Acctually the pile of crap is still probably on the roof of that house i stayed in. Nah, the maid prob picked it up.

I traveled to San Miguel because I heard it was an artist community. I stayed at Casa Liza and would recommend it to anyone. The house is filled with a world-class art collection. Liza and her staff are delightful. I downloaded an art map and guide from the Mercado San Miguel website and met many studio artists, visited galleries and purchased artwork during my trip. If you're looking for a destination in Mexico filled with culture, interesting people and great colonial architecture, I highly recommend San Miguel.
