Heaven on Earth

My brother lives in Invercargill and I've been over twice to stay with him. He showed me around and took me on a trip to Te Anau! My goodness - beautiful does not describe this place. The air was so clear and fresh, the scenery absolutely splendid and I was loathe to leave. When people say to me "I don't know where to go for a holiday" I immediately tell them "New Zealand! There is nowhere on this earth to match it!"

I would definately recommend staying at Te Anau for visits to Milford Sound. We took a tour to Milford Sound with "Trips and Tramps" tour company. They have a fleet of small buses and are able to provide a more personable service. We stayed mostly at the Bella Vista Motel Chain fantastic deals as the rooms were brand new (all over New Zealand), But for some reason the beds were a wee bit springy. That was the case at any motel chain. Plan on spending at least 2 days (1 whole day just for Milford Sound). Oh and they have an internet cafe and a camerashop that will burn CD's from your camera. (7.50NZ)
