Loved it!
Very welcoming, easy and convenient city for tourists to visit. Lots within walking distance, nice, clean, appealing downtown area, great harbour front. Many attractions to visit, some are free. Museum of Land and Sea well worth the visit.

Just want to let people know about a great little shop I found down a back alley in Kilbirnie,Wellington . It's a Japanese(mainly)antique shop but it's more like a Steptoe and son's(from the TV series)full of dusty bric a brac at amazingly cheap prices . Location 23 bay road ,ph 04 3873488 . absolutly beautiful place, fun night life, great views, exchange rate is nice for americans. They have these people, who work for the city who walk around downtown, there only job is to answer stupid questions from anyone about the town, directions, good bars, places to eat, they will even call you a cab. And after the fear, driving on the other side of the road is rather fun.
