Looking forward to another treat

four stars

Quite a very good place to stay if you are interested in having some value of quiet time. The meals are made fresh. I think they have a very good chef. The front office staff are also a very welocoming team to deal with especially after a long journey. I will not think twice going back once the opportunity knocks.

not good 4 holidays

two stars

Very dirty environment for people that can not afford to live in VGC,Maruwa garden,Opebi,vl and some other gardens. Very narrow minding and self fish people. Health care is ZERO,Education is very poor because of corruption both from top to down including the so called police collecting 20naira from all vehicles,is unbelieveable. The international airport is another story full with different kinds of people both robbers and lunatics. Only GOD can save that country from bribery and corruption.

I can't wait to be home

five stars

Lagos is a very lively place to be with lots of events and places to go to. The only thing i dislike about lagos is that it is very rough and crowded.

No place like Lagos, Nigeria

four stars

Nigeria is the place to be (though not for the faint-hearted). Its an exciting, cosmopolitan city. Like no other place i've ever been. To enjoy the city to the max, you must have the dough.

Nigeria is a place to be

four stars

I have been away from Lagos for over 10 years, went on holiday 6.5 years ago and recently revisited in September 2005. It was awsome, things have changes greatly (ie shops, restaurants and real estate). I will encourage people and not just Nigerians to go home regularly if you can and probably invest in real estate Trust me!!! yuo can't go wrong. Point to note - be carefull of scams which happens every where you go even in London where i reside. Demola

Dukes Court (Hotel-8 Agoro Odiyan St. OFF Adeola Odeku St., Victoria Island

four stars

I loved this hotel because everything about it is incredible especially their service. Anytime I was hungry all I had to do is call restaurant and bar and within 20 minutes i got my food. Even at 4 o'clock in the morning That was no problem. Excellent management too...they are so inviting and hospitable...I felt at home...I will always stay there whenever I visit Lagos, Nigeria.

9ja (Nigeria) Is Da Bomb!!!

five stars

I lived in nigeria 4 a smashing wholesome 17 yrs and yes no one can deny the fact that the place is wild(esp lagos,d most bubbling state other than newyork) and quite dangerous but its the best place to be and even though NEPA,NITEL and WATER CORPORATION did their own bit,all it takes is to be in the right area with a bulgy pocket(ie u MUST have money) and the rest is HEAVEN.

Not recommended for a holiday

one star

While I was in Lagos, Nigeria I stayed at my husband's parents house and the electricity was taken for 2 hours every night from 6 - 8. It was absolutely ridiculous. One night I even got a black eye because there was no light. I banged my head off the headboard. The air was stuffy as well. No running water and had to resort to throwing buckets of (cold!) water over myself in order to wash myself. I was absolutely stinking when I got back to London. It was too overcrowded and full of lunatic drivers. No traffic lights no road rules at all whatsoever. Got pulled over by the police and was asked for money. Yes the POLICE!! It wasn't a healthy environment full of slums. the saddest thing was having a man with a disturbingly disfigured face due to being burnt begging for money. I honestly cannot think of one thing I liked about it. Not recommended for a holiday.

can't wait to go back and see my friends

five stars

Lagos is the place to be anytime one is in Nigeria. It only lacks bit of safetyness, and the government should also try and clean the city if they want people from different countries to come visit Thanks

Lagos, the fast lane

two stars

I have lived in Lagos for nine years and it goes from bad to worse then back to bad. Night life vibrant with a wide choice of bars and restaurants. Most out price europe. Fast food taking off and generally good quality. The hotels are now making an effort have realised that they need customers! Smaller hotels are becoming popular and guest houses abound. Lagos for business is frontier work. Becareful, safe and say very little. This way you will achieve something. Be patient things take time, people love being late for meetings or appointments. Do not be put off, Lagos is best reflected by the way people drive, erratic, close up and dangerously. It's still the most enjoyment you will get in life.
