can't wait to go back

been going there every year since i was a child. safe fun great food vendors, surfing, music, beautiful. fun journey to/from!!!! excellent place to see when your in town.

What a climb!

I visited Wreck Beach back in the 70's when I was in my early thirties. This time I was 62 and had had heart surgery! We went down in November, perfect weather, gorgeous sunset. However I had "jelly legs" when I finally reached the sand, and came close to losing consciousness climbing up the 400 steps upon return! Please, put in a few "log" benches here and there for resting spots. Also, it looks as if the long timers have made little "rooms" for themselves, marking out their territory with logs, standing logs to hold tarps (I guess) and even planting perennials around the perimeters of said rooms. Does this mean we casual visitors would not be allowed into a room should we arrive early? Still and all, an awesome place!
