Must do Voodoo!
Whether you are interested in Voodoo from the point of view of serious folklore or cheesy movies, this place is a goldmine. The very friendly staff will be happy to talk to you about the history of voodoo and its evolution to today. They will point out how voodoo has adapted to its surroundings. Also, they will make sure you understand that most voodoo practitioners practice "white" majick and that it is not the "evil" religion often depicted in the movies. Additionally, the museum allows photos and encourages questions. It is a very personal experience. One possible con is that even though the staff is very nice, the displays and dark surroundings may prove to be scary for little kids. Overall, it is a very entertaining and informative museum. I've seen a lot of museums in my travels and this is one of my favorite small museums in the whole world.

This is the real thing, so if you're interested in finding out more about this religion or if you're just curious check it out. if you're looking for high entertainment and glitz and have no interest in or respect for alternative spirituality don't bother.
