Main attraction about it is that it was opened to publics after centuries of being used by many dynasties.It has more historical importance than anything else.Very few things to see inside.I wish chinese goverment reduces the ticket charge to enter places like this.

(Report Problem)One of my Chinese friends showed me the left side of the Forbidden City. For the newby all these big central-axis buildings are nice, but... the sides are far far more interesting: picturesque buildings gates and yards - enough to waste a whole day. Love it! Took hundreds of pix. And had to go because it was 5 pm... before I noticed.

(Report Problem)I was disapointed after seeing "The last emperor".The biggest issue I have other than crowds of mostly Chinese tour groups, is that you can't enter into most of the building-You can only peer in over the railings, and with so many tourists, that peek takes a while
