If you go to Paris you owe it to yourself to visit this Place. It's historic and beautiful. Be sure to buy a map!

Been there twice

five stars

Buy yourself a map before you go in. A Gothic experience. Visit the graves of Jim Morrison, Oscar Wilde, Edith Piaf, Marcel Proust, Moliere, etc. etc. etc.

Out of this world!

five stars

A sanctuary in the heart of Paris, this place transports you back in time. Do get the map and try to find the resting places of people who touch your heart. It is a treasure hunt well worth your time. The gardens and the sculpture are unique at each grave site, and every one tells its own story. For me Oscar Wilde, Edith Piaf, and Isadora Duncan tugged especially hard at my heart strings. Go. You won't come out the same person who went in. Devine.

Not just for the morbid!

five stars

I don't normally visit cemeteries when on vacation but heard so much about this one I had to check it out...and I'm glad I did. The history and tombstones are so amazing. Jim Morrison's grave is pretty non-descript. There wasn't a crowd at all...just a security person. Other famous people buried there: Chopin, Oscar Wilde, Edith Plat...Definitely worth the visit just to see the many interesting tombstones.
