The smells - the culture

I work within a minutes walk of China town and the smell draw me in - even at 8.30am! The Chinese chefs start cooking up tasty treats first thing in the morning so they may hang th meats in the shop windows, and serve up tasty meals ready for lunch time. There are great lunchtime deals to be had. We visit a few retaurants where a dish with plain rice and a chinese tea is £3.50 (upgrades such as egg fried rice is ok for a few extra pence). Main street is filled with proper chinese shops and places that are less commercialised where you can get authentic food. Beautiful streets - recommended.
