I was recently there for a stag weekend and i tought the whole expierence was terrible. We decided to go based on reviews that we read on the internet and magazines but obviously these reviews were put there by tour operators seeking to get people to this absolute dive. We had learned to say please and thank you but the local people were the most ignorant people i have ever met in my life. We even seen the nightclub security trying to start a fight with another group who were not out of line at all. One group got ripped off in a bar and the security attacked them badly even tough the group did not put up any resistence, this was a organised tour venue through several internet tour operators that attacked their customers, the locals are dog ignorant. I have been on 3 weekend breaks so far this year to the UK and Spain and could not get over the difference in hospitality. All in all i would not recomend anyone even passing through this country, worst expierence of my life.

(Report Problem)Bratislava is a beautiful city, I would go back, but with my girlfriend for a romantic break. I chose Brtislavapissup.com to organise the trip and it was a toall waste of time!! They totally ruined my stag do that i will remeber foever and were totally unprofessional about it all. We thought that it would be a good idea to go with them so there was some sort of structure but we didnt get to do any activities and we still had to pay full price. When we emailed them on our return, they said they didn't care and that theve fired a tour manager, well that did a load of good. TRUST ME ON THIS ONE PEOPLE, NORMALLY WHEN I READ REVIEWS LIKE THIS I KINDA OF IGNORE THEM, BUT PLEASE PLEASE DO NOT THIS TIME. I WILL SPEND DAYS TRAWLING THE INTERNET TO FIND A GOOD DEAL AND HAVE REALLY LEARNT TO RELY ON REVIEWS. BY ALL MEANS GO TO BRATISLAVA, IT REALLY IS A WONDERFUL CITY BUT IM WARNING YOU, DO NOT!! USE BRATISLAVAPISSUP.COM. Thankyou for your time.

(Report Problem)especcially if you wanna do a stag party(british), we hate tourists, they changed all behaviour of BA citizens, noone wanna go to donwtown among drunk screaming assholes many times doing striptease on the streets... Dont expect smile from us, what a pitty, we dont have Bratislava like it was before year 2000.

(Report Problem)don't trust all reviews mentioned here, especially last guy (9th march) has probably some psychic problems because he is flooding forums about Slovakia all around internet (and posting replies under different nicknames) and usual answer from majority of tourists who visited Slovakia is that he is lying check this thread on Lonely Planet forum about Bratislava/Slovakia experiences http://tinyurl.com/ysycu2

(Report Problem)maybe all of you great britons should consider why the people in bratislava do not like you. when i go out during the weekend the usual picture around ten o'clock is a bunch of drunken blokes in short sleeved shirts shouting all around. and this is going on every weekend. maybe you think, that if you have 50 quid in your pocket you are heroes. oooops, you're not! so maybe if you would come to this city to do so meting else instead of drinking, maybe the people would start acknowledging you. as far as i remember one of your "mates" was masturbating in front of the national theater! he got two weeks jail for that :) now try that in front of the buckingham palace!

(Report Problem)I booked this 2 night trip for no reason in particular - I hadn't been abroad before and a friend had mentioned it to me so I thought...why not! Getting through customs at the Airport was very quick and we managed to get a taxi straight away which took us to the hotel in 10 minutes (although he did over charge by around 300sk). We stayed at City Hotel Bratislava which is a 10 minute drive from the city centre. The lobby, bar and restaurant were to a very high standard and all of the staff were very helpful. The rooms however were a massive dissapointment - they were musky, dusty, dated and the bathroom was dirty (the bath was full of grime and the toilet constantly smelt of urine). We did get the cheapest rooms available though and I know that other rooms are to a very high standard. Getting to the city is easy and once there it's easy to find your way around as it's so small. The arcitechture is amazing and well maintained. Cost wise - alcohol and food is extremely cheap (40p per pint / Ģ1 per large meal). Everything else though is around the same price as in England which was dissapointing. We visited Aupark (a large shopping centre) for a few hours which wouldn't have been out of place in London. Beware of taxi drivers though as they can be no good. We tried to get to the zoo twice by taxi - the first time we were taken around the block and dropped off by a cemetery while the second try we were taken around 10 miles out of the city and dropped off with nothing but a 4 hour walk back. Overall though - I highly recommend visiting...a great experience!
