(Report Problem)Tenerife is much more dangerous at the moment. A friend of mine has told me that there are bands of delinquents well organized in search of tourists pockets! There a lot of immigrants entering the island illegally and apart from assaults there are sanitary problems which escape from state control.

(Report Problem)Stayed at the Laguna Park 2 resort in a well appointed twin room in Playa de Las Americas. Four of us stayed in the apartment with two occupying the beds in the lounge area. The pool was beautiful and a very short walk to the beaches and restaurants. The nightlife was great, this is definatley a destination for younger people and not families although the Waterpark is a great addition to a family holiday.

(Report Problem)Palms on the Ocean, Los Realejos. We got a word of mouth recommendation from a friend in Dorset who had known the owner for years, but even so we couldn't believe the place when we saw it. Just two apartments and the owner's villa in about five acres of private gardens. We shared the large heated pool with the other couple in the other apartment, but that was really the only time we saw them. We had breakfast outside on one of the patios every day. Our favourite was the pool patio for the views down over the coast and of the mountains, but even when it drizzled first thing there was a covered patio, which was also great for my pale skin in the midday sun. There's some fabulous walks and private beaches and for those days when you want a bit more liveliness it's just ten minutes by car from Puerto de la Cruz. We got a great welcome pack that lasted us two days and Peter did everything he could to make our holiday a success. We've already booked for next March.
