Great town for backpacker...
This town has a ton of backpackers in it, and has some very liberally run hostels. I stayed at the funny farm hostel there and had a great time. This town is also known for being an extreme sport town. I recommend renting a bike and spending a day biking in the swiss alps, it is so beautiful.

We arrived there when the celebration for the returning shepherds was in progress.It was wonderful. Lots of food and music. The people had on their native attire. We would love to go back.

(Report Problem)Interlaken... Village de Heidi!
Its a nice small cute little village which brings you back memories of Heidi... great picturesque of wht Switzerland is suppose to be.... It has the same feel as you are in Banff (Canada) except that people speaks mainly french/german there.... People are great and friendly, they greet you everywhere you go :) In Singapore the rate for rush is about 8.5 whereas in Interlaken is probably 0.5, see the difference??
