Nightlife along the front of the old castle

It's so atmospheric along here. The dining out is fantastic (a bit of hassle from the waiters to eat in their restaurants), but the food is fantastic. You must dine in the highest restaurant, accessed by the lanes around the old castle. The family have been there for generations, and are so friendly, with fantastic food. The little 'pound' shop is sweet with a friendly 'mama' who will gladly pose for photos with you. Sterling, lira or euros are accepted practically everywhere. Be careful of touts for boat trips on the beach. One took a deposit from us, providing a receipt, and the trip never transpired. If you must book a trip, do it without a deposit - don't be forced, they will book it in the end with no deposit.

Can't wait to return

Marmaris was fantastic, i've been a few times before but this year i went with my boyfriend and me bezzy mates. Our accomodation was fab (Sundream Apartments) and the people were very welcoming. I would recommend visiting all the bars along the beach were you'll find bars and clubs to everyone's satisfaction. I would also recommend visiting Jade A La Carte restaurant in the Armutulan area of Marmaris, the food is fantastic n the staff are great, especially JESUS!!!!, also one of the staff looks like Patrick Swayze. I'm sure anyone who visits Marmaris will enjoy it and those who don't enjoy probably don't know how to enjoy themselves

what more could you ask of a holiday

i keep returning to marmaris as it is the ideal holiday place ,the people are so friendly and go out of their way to make you enjoy your stay , day and night the walk along the beach is lovely i enjoy taking the taxi boats and they are very cheap.at night there are lots of fun bars and reaturants to visit and marmaris town and the markets are great for shopping. i travel alone but i have never felt lonely in marmaris this is why i keep going back .

marmaris is a wonderful place to go i went for my first time in june last year and it was great the food was nice and the people are lovley and friendly really enjoyed it so many things to do u will never find ur self boared my advise is to go and find out for your self

Marmaris ...

.... is just the best place ever! The people are so friendly, the food is good quality and cheap, the Efes is forever flowing cold, the sun shines, the pools keep you cool What else could you ask for! Been for the last 3 years and going again this August xx

my second home

been 15 times and its is the best the people are so brilliant the trips are first class the resort has so much to offer

Good experience!

Marmaris is lovely, a great place to shop for the ladies especially with all their good quality but 'fake' handbags. Food is good, but not by any means cheap! The hotel we stayed at was really bad, the service was terrible, The Pascha beach hotel. Dont bother with bar street, its way too expensive! The bars on the sea front are much better! Make sure you have plenty of turkish baths, its only £15 for a 3 hour session and you honestly feel really cleand after! Oh yeah, dont bother doing the day trip to dalyan! You only get 20 minutes to go in the mud pool, dry and shower up! Not enough time at all!

5 months until im back

FANTASTIC PLACE i'd say nowhere is as good as marmaris ive never come across people who are so down to earth the tourists are even down to earth met alot of new people it was brilliant. cant wait to be back forever baby if you read this START decorating the house;) :)
