having read the reveiws most are from the south it would appear, the reason they dont like it is people in nottingham arent uptight and anal retentive like the southerners, stay in london and the home counties. pay to much for everything and be miserable, dont go to nottingham because u dont know how to enjoy yourselves, miserable lot.

I HATE IT I HATE IT I HATE IT

Nottingham is awful. I have lived here for 12 years. It is a generic soulless city. Everyone I have met here is a despicable idiot. There is a lot of crime, I myself have been a victim of it many times. There is a big drug problem- you can't walk down the street without smelling a joint. Most of the nice cafes and things that used to be around have been built on and re-designed destroying any character they had, making them look like a branch of ikea. Awful music scene. Awful art scene (despite the presence of trent University) ((Art institutions are a paradox if you think about it)) Seriously, this place has nothing going for it! there is a horrible atmosphere all round. The attitude of the people is terrible. Don't come here, you will be miserable. Stay away!

I Have lived in Nottingham for all of my life. It is a friendly sociable city with lots of fun. It welcomes all into the community and has many different cultures. Nottingham has a great night life full of fun however if you go towars the outerbounds of nottingham you can experience the countryside and Nottinghams nature. There are many historical places to visit

I hate nottingham

i lived in nottingham for 10 years and i found it terrible i hate the people they were rude and very self centred i am from northern ireland and am now back living there but i really dislike nottingham with a passion the shops are shit and so are the people please dont go its a waiste of time !!! and the only reason i worte good for beaches is becuaee there isnt any

For party lovers

It is a nice place, although I agree with someone who said that the architecture is pretty much the same as other paces in london. It is good for nightlife though and like any other city has several shops and restaurants. The best place I visited was the university - the campus is in the middle of a city yet it large and dotted with trees and small gardens. There are many nice pubs and bars as well. Students, be sure to avail student discount at shops and bars.

Nottingham

I went there with my football teams for an Vietnamese Students Football tournament. This is a nice place, although you know the architecture looks the same as other places in the UK, famous castle where from the top you can view the whole picture of Nottingham. Shopping areas are quite convenient.
