(Report Problem)we werent able to go inside the palace but we still had a great time people watching and watching the guards patroll. Want a cheap thrill? Try a picnic in St. James park in front of Buckingham palace, its beautiful.

(Report Problem)This is an absolutly increadable place, if you are able to get in (August-September) you will marvel at this place. The tour is very good self-guided, the perfection of the palace is an understatement. Highly recomend this.

(Report Problem)from autumn to spring they do the changing of the guards every other day. so if you plan to go there during those times, make sure to find out if they are changing the guards the day you go.

(Report Problem)My dad and I went to London last August. Of course, we planned on going by Buckingham Palace, mainly to see the Changing of the Guard. We didn't know that they actually let the public into parts of the palace for two months of the year, and we sure didn't know that August was one of those months! So, of course, we plunked down or 15 pounds apiece, which is about $25 or so each, but it was worth every penny. Everything I thought a royal palace would be, Buckingham Palace certainly lived up to. You can buy an audio CD tour, which I recommend, since there are no people to guide you around. I don't want to into too much detail, but it is definitely worth replanning your London trip for August or September, as these are the only two months that the interior of the palace is open for tours. Ironically, we never did get to see the Changing of the Guard...far too crowded, and we had so much else to see.
