I went here on a college trip and we got to spend the entire day there. It was the best and most memorable museum I've ever been too throughout my travels. They have the greats like Picasso and Dali but there are also several hidden gems and little touches scattered around that really make this place amazing. If you take your time and look all around you will be pleasantly surprised. When I saw a single Gerhard Richter just hanging on the wall all alone I was ecstatic. I also learned of a new artist by the name of Fernando Zobel who I am now enamored with. If you love modern art then this is a can't miss.

(Report Problem)After visit the Prado, the Reina Sofia is the next must see art museum. You will find Picasso's masterpiece "Guernica" and a nice selection of Dali.

(Report Problem)The Reina Sofia is definitely worth a visit. One of the most interesting exhibits is the extensive collection of Picasso’s works. Just seeing his painting of Guernica is worth the price of admission. Guernica was a village in the Basque country near Bilbao that was carpet bombed in the 1930s by the Germans, along with Franco's permission, as a social experiment. The museum provides an excellent way to get to know Spanish history through the works of its many artists.
