DON'T MISS!
This was not included in our tour and we took an afternoon and went on our own and I'm so glad we did. We hooked up with a local guide while we were there who gave us a private tour for $30 US. Not only did we go to the old palace, climb the walls of the Citadel, but got a tour of both the Mohammed Ali Mosque and Saloman (sp?) Mosque and tomb. Don't miss the second, mostly unvisited mosque - it is one of the oldest Turkish style mosques in Egypt. Really really enjoyed our afternoon here.
