(Report Problem)cairo is awesome egypt is awesome.the history the culture and the people are great.people who live life hard but are extremly happy people always smiling.if you cant accept other peoples customs and ways eg haggling and people forever trying to sell you stuff then dont go.this is how lots of these people survive.my husband and i took our 3 teenage kids just after sept 11 happened a was reluctant ,but when i got there i was at ease i love the people.am now very sorry and disappointed to hear of the latest attacks in cairo this weekend on tourists.the people of egypt dont need this as they need tourism to survive they are already struggling with the downturn in tourism after sept 11th.its so sad as its an amazing place to visit.

(Report Problem)The cheese-factor in this show is high. Very high. However, I still enjoyed the show for the mere fact that it was totally awesome to see the pyramids and Sphinx all lit up. It's an hr long and boy, I wish it was only 20 mins. But go, if you have some time.

(Report Problem)we went to the russian show because a acquintance of ours said to go to the show but don't go to the english show. We didn't understand a thing in the russian show. Go to the show with the language that u understand otherwise you will be confused. If you go in winter be sure to dress warmly

(Report Problem)I totally disliked the exploitation of the sphinx and pyramids for this show. It was spectacular that cannot be denied but I think it is morally wrong to use tombs and such a sacred object as the sphinx for petty entertainment. Apart from a nice cafe with friendly waiters serving delicious tea and the beautiful sunset behind the pyramids before the dreadful show started it would have been a total waste of my money. I definately will not be going to another sound and light show. It cheapens all that the pyramids and sphinx signify to history, to the souls of the people who built it and to those who care for it.

(Report Problem)I loved the whole thing. It was amazing. If any one asks me about going to Egypt, I would tell them to go and see at least one Sound and Light show.

(Report Problem)My husband and I were in Cairo in May 2001 for only 2 days and wanted to do everything our tour guide suggested so that we didn't miss anything. If I could do it again I would skip the light show and spend more time instead at the Sphinx and Great Pyramids in the daytime so as to realy experience the people, foods, sights and sounds of Cairo and the Great Pyramids. Our tour guide charged around $40.00 or so per person for the show which lasted about 2 hours (or at least it felt like it), which was a total rip off when you think about the conversion of U.S. dollars versus the value of the Egyptian pound....I believe that there are better ways to spend your money while in Cairo.

(Report Problem)the sound and light show was amazing, i loved all the special effects, and the part where they light up the Sphinx so it has eyes, nose and a mouth is so cool. If you do want to see the sound and light show, dont pay £30-40 for it. Across the road facing the Sphinx there is a wonderful coffee shop where you can watch the show for free on the balcony at the rooftop, it has lovely welcomming staff.
