Aside from the good prices and the back-drop, you could be anywhere in the world really. Worth going to do some shopping but don't waste your precious time here. Restaurants are uninspiring, you will get better elsewhere. Bars are ok but overpriced.

(Report Problem)stayed here on our second visit to Cape Town- what a peaceful time!!! Your room overlooks the Marina to watch the seals play on the docks and the dolphins jump in the water.... Table Mountain is stunning- we had a Mtn View room- the way to go. Very conveniently located- would stay here again in a heartbeat.

(Report Problem)Reminds me of Pier 39 in San Francisco or Navy Pier in Chicago. Lots of good music, fun shops to look through. Had two great meals with wonderful service at Cape Town Fish Company. Locals seem to like the area too for the food, music, views and the feel of the working harbor nearby. Check out the clubs for various jazz types. Don't just stay in V&A but walk the entire area. It was a beautiful place to visit and see the waterfront of Cape Town. We also found some very unique rings in one of the store to celebrate our 25th Anniversary
