Forget Charlotte,visit Fort Worth
I visited Charlotte mainly to find "southern charm", but there were none. It has no historic buildings. If you really want to visit a historic, and southern-western place visit Fort Worth, Texas. All the historical buildings in Charlotte are replaced by new buildings. Fort Worth has many stuff to do: a vibrant downtown,southern-western style and the stockyards. Forget Charlotte,come to Fort Worth,Texas

The trip was great!! Why must people who travel with children treat the airlines as their daycare? You had the child - now take responsibilty for the comfort of the infant and those who must be on the same plane as you!!

I visited Charlotte to check out the town's Southern architecture and charm... only to find out that almost every historical building had been torn down and replaced by condo residences. Likewise, its southern charm had been invaded by yankee investment bankers. Not what I was expecting. While downtown Charlotte is the cleanest urban area I have ever visited, it seems almost plastic. The club scene is very trendy... dress appropriately. If you like progress, you'll love this "new southern" city--But give me my old southern grits anyday.

well it was a bustling city with all the comforts to rival atlanta or richmond but it stll had the southern hospitality and all the comforts of home
