An unknown gem
When I was travelling in the US and mentioned I was off to South Dakota, even Americans gave me funny looks! However, to think I may have missed out on seeing the Black Hills, the Badlands, Mount Rushmore, and Devils Tower a few miles across the Wyoming border, would have been a real tradgedy. What an understated gem of a region with great people away from the hustle and bustle of big city USA and with so much natural beauty.

So much to do, so little time!
The citizens of Rapid City, SD, are very friendly. The Fireside Inn restaurant is a must. The service was wonderful.
