Simply beautiful. I spent the better part of 4 days just wandering the Riverwalk. Some of the historic attractions have been made up to be fairly touristy. Even so, the Alamo is a time well spent. Definitely take some time to check out some different restaurants on the Riverwalk. I would suggest Casa Rio and Jim Cullum's Landing featuring live jazz while you dine.

(Report Problem)This is not a vacation destination. It is a pleasant, clean town to visit for business or family but that is is. I recently went there with my daughter. It is a souless sprawl with a freeway running right down the middle of the city. The area is dry and prone to dangerous flooding. The terrain is relatively flat except for sporadic gullies and has no geographical features of interest. There are a few "old" very attractive neighborhoods. The rest are brick boxes in cookie cutter developments adjacent to malls and strip malls. If you like chain restaurants, this is the place for you. There is no culture to speak of except local festivals. The "riverwalk"is essentially a tiney Disneylike canal that runs behind some hotels and restuarants.

(Report Problem)What I like about this place is the environment that comes with it. Very friendly people, and also quiet. The temperature is perfect, and I'm thinking about moving to this place in a year or two.

(Report Problem)There's always a fiesta going on; lots of things to do. The people are as friendly as they come; but then again, the whole state of Texas is as friendly as it comes.

(Report Problem)Downtown San Antonio is a wonderful place to visit. I was there in March. The weather was wonderful and it is so easy to get around the city, either by walking or taking a bus or trolley. I loved it.

(Report Problem)There's so much construction going on right now that the roads were all blocked so the stores were really far away, but it's so pretty that you forget all the mishaps. the riverwalk is truely an amazing experience.
