Wild Wild West
I've been to Moab three times and each time I find something different and beautiful. The town has a lot to offer in terms of lodging and dining, but it's only a place to sleep and eat. It's the beauty of the surrounding area that is the reason to go. I can't get enough of Arches National Park - nothing like it anywhere! Canyonlands is beautiful too, like a mini Grand Canyon. The people are athletic and friendly. I'd recommend not visiting during the summer months if scorching heat bothers you - it is the high desert here after all!

I love everything about it. Easy access to tons of things ( National parks, State parks, hiking, biking, rafting ). You name it, it is there!

If you like the outdoors you will love the moab area. there is no other place like it in the world. You have the colorado river scenic car drive just outside moab, Arches national park, Canyonlands national park, Dead horse pte state park, slickrock bike area, many miles of backcountry roads to explore such as white rim trail that takes you deep into Canyonlands and all you need is a vehicle with 4 wheel drive and that includes moms subaru or dads pick-up truck. Plus there are many great places to eat at in town plus there are a lot of places to have a cold one(s) with friends. I go to moab at least 4 or 5 times a year to just get away from the city. Make sure you have a big memory card for your camera, you'll need it.

One of the best National Park Cities I have ever been to. Rooms and food reasonable. Just about everyone is pleasant to deal with.
